Our Symposium brings researchers from across the globe as well as the Medical Advisory Committee Members to Sun Valley, Idaho, for a week in March bi-annually.
Symposium is an invitation-only conference held under the guidance of Marc Lippman, M.D., and the Chair of our Medical Advisory Committee. The attendees—which include renowned scientists, researchers and physicians from around the world—have intense working sessions to share unpublished information, analyze breakthroughs, discuss advances in treatment, and recognize hurdles to finding a cure.
The Annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Cancer Symposium encourages the free exchange of ideas and current breast cancer research. Attendees include basic scientists, clinical investigators and practicing clinicians. The attendees have intense working sessions to share unpublished information, analyze breakthroughs, recognize hurdles to finding a cure and discuss advances in treatment. After the Symposium, attendees continue to pool information and develop new cross-country clinical trials.
This is an exciting time for breast cancer research, because we are on the verge of uncovering so much information about each cancer's unique drivers. This knowledge will lead us to more targeted, personalized therapies that will deliver more cures for more patients.
